Lunch with Friends Coming November 18

Posted

Come to Lunch with Friends on  Wednesday, November 18, when the Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring and serving the luncheon. Everyone is so appreciative of their kindness and support.

The special guest will be Britany Piersma, a wildlife biologist with Audubon of the Western Everglades. She will share some fascinating information about local wildlife, including owls, tortoises, turtles, and yes, even rats! Guests will be able to learn a thing or two about some of our more interesting neighbors! Also presenting will be Michael Richards discussing “Scams all around us.”

As always, the best part of Lunch with Friends is simply being together, so make sure to come and, even more importantly, invite someone who might enjoy a little company, a good meal, and a reason to get out of the house. Whether someone is new to the island, has lost a spouse, lives alone, or just needs a friendly face, there is always a place for them at the Lunch with Friends table.

Please don’t let transportation be an obstacle. If someone needs a ride, just let them know when making a reservation, and they will gladly help arrange reliable transportation.

A special invitation is also extended to the wonderful area clergy. We love having you join, even if only for a few minutes, to offer the blessing and share in the fellowship. Your presence means so much to the guests.  And welcome Fr. Cole Webster to San Marco Catholic Church!

Thank you for your continued support of this monthly program. Together, Lunch with Friends is doing more than serving lunch — they are building friendships, sharing laughter, and helping make loneliness a little less common on Marco Island.

Looking forward to seeing you on November 18!
