Marco Island Rotary Club Sunrise continued its “Wake Up to Rotary Speaker Series” with a recent presentation by Ben Bridges, CEO of St. Matthew’s House.

Bridges shared the St. Matthew’s House mission to help individuals transition from crisis to contributor through addressing hunger, homelessness, and addiction. He explained their one-three-five model, which includes food assistance, shelters, addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, and workforce development.

Bridges explained the goal of St. Matthew’s House is to “ensure that no one is without a pathway on their journey from crisis to contributor. We walk alongside you on your path to sustainability.”  The organization operates six thrift stores and a restaurant, with over 250 employees across Southwest Florida, and relies primarily on philanthropic support rather than federal funding

Bridges answered questions following his presentation and expressed his gratitude for the Club’s historical support of St. Matthew’s House.

Sunrise Rotary meets at Stonewall’s restaurant on Tuesdays at 7:00 AM. Its speaker series continues weekly.
