New Year New Blunders by Brechnitz

At the latest Marco Island City Council meeting Councilor Brechnitz did not know where he was. In fact, he gave an employee a commendation from the City of Decatur?!? This was live and also on the public record on video for all to see. Time to step down Councilor Brechnitz. This is unacceptable and embarrassing. 

As the meeting proceeded, Councilor Brechnitz repeatedly forgot other councilors names and called them by the wrong names. He lost track of votes and vote counts on numerous occasions. The city attorney had to remind Councilor Brechnitz that public comment was supposed to be at 6:00 PM yet Brechnitz skipped over that item on the agenda and went directly to councilor communications and made excuses. 

We cannot have this kind of incompetence on city council. To add insult to injury, although he claimed that he did not need to be chair – he only voted for himself and no one else. This should tell you everything you need to know. This man is power hungry and only interested in elevating himself and not taking care of our city. It’s time to say goodbye to the chair seat and goodbye to council. You should recognize that your memory is failing you and your actions are not in the best interest of our city. Time to step down Councilor Brechnitz.
