My Endorsement of Darrin Palumbo

I am pleased to endorse Darrin Palumbo for Marco Island City Council. Having served alongside him, I have been particularly impressed by the way he has led our meetings. He creates an open, welcoming environment where councilors, staff, and residents can express their views and know they will receive a respectful hearing. That approach strengthens public confidence and helps the Council make better decisions.

Darrin understands the issues facing our city and the importance of setting priorities. His four years on the Council have given him valuable experience, and he does the homework necessary to form thoughtful opinions. I especially appreciate his willingness to hear the other six councilors before offering his own views, giving each member room to speak without interruption. Listening is an essential part of leadership, and Darrin practices it.

His commitment extends well beyond Council meetings. Darrin makes time to meet with staff and residents, attends community events, and stays engaged in conversations about our city’s needs. That personal involvement helps him understand concerns firsthand and contributes to the respect and goodwill he has earned throughout the community.

Marco Island needs councilors who prepare carefully, welcome differing viewpoints, and put sustained effort into serving the public. Darrin brings those qualities, along with strong leadership skills and a work ethic I respect. I believe he has earned the opportunity to continue serving our city, and I encourage residents to join me in supporting him.
