Investing in Paradise

Thank you to Councilor Champagne, Councilor Henry, Councilor Palumbo, and Councilor Schwan for approving the millage rate at 1.2670 for the upcoming fiscal year. I do not envy the courage it took to make this critical decision but do appreciate the care you have shown for the future of Marco Island. I hope to see infrastructure maintenance, repair, and replacement be given priority moving forward — an investment in the generations to come. Additionally, I hope to see continued focus on the maintenance and improving of our public parks and beach access points. I am one of many on Marco Island who are willing to spend a little more on my taxes, provided I see the fruits of that labor. Maintaining paradise comes at a cost, but it is worth the investment.
