When you look at the contributions to the six City Council Candidates running for office on a 24-square-mile island are you aware enough to wonder why all this money is needed? Just add up the sums totaling for Messrs. Palumbo, Ricci, and Bailey vs. the sums totaling for Messrs. Bartolucci, Woodworth, and Ms. Sommerfeld.

Is there a syndicate surreptitiously at work here on Marco Island simply trying to BUY the best candidates for the money,  or is there a Gordon Gekko type organization pushing a GREED IS GOOD culture to turn little Marco Island into a MINI MIAMI? This place is too small to be a MINI MIAMI despite the push for a bigger cruise ship terminal and a BIG HILTON HOTEL ADDITION.
