Drama at the Palace

Posted

I met two people while I was out today who told me Pam Bondi was fired. I hadn’t heard. Big deal, right?

Trump just fired his own attorney general, Pam Bondi — the same Bondi who has been glued to him since the Florida days — after months of whining that she didn’t turn the Justice Department into his personal hit squad or juggle the Epstein mess to his liking. In other words, even one of his most loyal attack dogs wasn’t quite obedient enough for Dear Leader.
And look at the timing: first, he lights a match in Iran and turns it into a war that conveniently blasts the Epstein story off the front page. Then, when the war itself starts to look chaotic and unpopular, he reaches for his one move from his failed reality show and barks “You’re fired!” at his own attorney general — suddenly the headlines are all about the palace drama instead of the mess he made overseas.

This isn’t strategy, it’s flailing: Iran as a distraction from Epstein, and Bondi’s firing as a distraction from Iran, all wrapped in the same corny catchphrase from The Apprentice. The problem is, this time it’s not some doomed contestant getting a limo ride home, it’s a president using war and the Justice Department as disposable props in his personal spin cycle.
