I am writing again about the safety concerns at the canine dog park. I have requested soil so we can fill holes as they appear, so nobody trips and breaks a bone. I did get one pile of dirt after my last letter to you. I have since requested three weeks in a row for a refill and have not received any at the park. There are bags of soil sitting at the facilities arealocated at the dog park. The park also has serious problems with broken fence pipes on the large dog park, pond side. I have advised facilities on that as well. There is a water supply station that has a constant leak - while they have fixed it two times, it breaks the following day. Constant dripping water is a waste of resources and taxpayers' dollars. I have purchased umbrellas, replacing broken ones. It appears to me that the dog park gets very little priority. Many of the island'sresidents use the park on a daily basis, which also serves as a chance for people to gather and talk, catch up on local events, etc. I guess my biggest problem is lack of concern that appears to be a way of doing business. The time and money needed is minimal and should be taken care of on a steady basis.
