City Council Candidate Support

I would like to voice my strong support for three candidates that stand above others in experience and the strong business acumen required to serve the City of Marco Island.   

I want to advocate for the re-election of City Councilor Darrin Palumbo. As council chair, he is a collaborative leader with an aptitude for getting things done efficiently. His expertise and deep roots as a local business owner and community volunteer are a huge asset to the island.  

Jason Bailey’s extensive leadership and local business experience, plus proven track record of protecting residents' quality of life, will make him an excellent councilor. His role as Planning Board Chair has given him direct experience with the city's complex zoning, land use, and development rules. A pragmatic decision maker who uses data and analytics to solve tough municipal issues, he would be an outstanding addition to council.  

Chris Ricci’s background in executive leadership, deep involvement in local government committees, and professional expertise in law, business, and engineering will make him an ideal councilor. His role as Chairman of the Beach and Coastal Resources Committee puts him at the forefront of environmental and coastal protection strategies. As a sitting member of the City’s Audit Advisory Committee, he has direct insight into Marco’s fiscal operations.
