Mr. Shaw’s column on President Trump's efforts to bring peace to Russia and Ukraine was antagonistic and disappointing. It did not camouflage Mr. Shaw’s consistent “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Regardless of who initiates the leadership effort to bring peace to this area of the world, it desperately needs to be done. The political situation may be complicated, but that does not justify ignoring it or simply saying it's too complicated. Thousands of Russian and Ukrainian young people are dying and being slaughtered. President Trump has repeatedly stated his motive is to “stop the killing”! How could any respectable human being in a position of power lackadaisically ignore this tragic crisis?
Robert F. Kennedy said, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can achieve greatly”.
Maybe Baked Alaska is too complicated for Mr. Shaw. Does he think our leaders should just give up and go to the beach, have an ice cream cone and nap? President Trump dares to be great, which could save thousands and thousands of lives. Everyone should vigorously support that and admire it!
