Are the Good Times Really Over for Good?

Posted

As the coming Island political winds begin to develop and blow, we voters will focus on all the issues facing us here. However, an elephant lurks quietly on the edges of this developing maelstrom. WHY WAS THE JW MARRIOTT SOLD? WHAT DO THE FORMER OWNERS KNOW OR SENSE THAT WE NOR THE CITY DO NOT?

Maybe they see our once lovely Paradise continuing to deteriorate physically through benign neglect, poor decision-making from appointed and elected officials, unmitigated growth on the other side of both our bridges, and the never-ending issuance of variances for projects large and small.

The recent and yet uncompleted LOS (level of service) study is giving ALL of us fair warning, but nobody in charge could give a care or concern.

VOTERS, ask yourselves WHY? Is unbridled greed and development sending us "rolling downhill a snowball headed for hell?" The future is in your hands come Primary Day and Election Day.
