United Church of Marco Island announced that its annual Christmas Offering raised more than $33,000 in support of Autism Collier Charter School, marking a significant investment in the education and well-being of students with autism in Collier County.

The check was presented during worship on Sunday, January 11, by Michelle Hennessy, Chair of the church’s Mission Committee. Accepting the gift on behalf of the school were Emily Kafle, Principal, along with board members Stephanie Nordin and Jen Mitchell, Chair of the Board.

“We are grateful that United Church has generous hearts, with many people understanding the challenges facing autistic students,” said Ed Brandt, Pastor of United Church of Marco Island. “This offering reflects a deep commitment to compassion, inclusion, and meaningful community partnerships.”

Each year, United Church of Marco Island designates a recipient for its Christmas Offering, encouraging members and friends to give generously to organizations making a positive difference locally and beyond. The selection of Autism Collier Charter School underscores the church’s ongoing focus on outreach, education, and care for vulnerable populations.

United Church of Marco Island is located at 320 N. Barfield Drive and offers worship services every Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sundays at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m.
