Screaming Good Time at the Spooktacular 

The Halloween Spooktacular at Mackle Park has always been a highlight for families living in the area. It’s great fun for young and old alike, as seen by all the families dressed in costume for the event. Creativity was off the charts this year, and we’re sure the judges had a very hard time choosing winners of the costume contest. 

Awards were given in three categories—Most Creative, Scariest, and Funniest—in four age groups starting at under three and going to nine-years-old. 

The event sponsored by the City of Marco Island included Trick or Treat tables. There were all sorts of fun activities and games, and a DJ was on hand to keep everything moving and add to the fun. OCMI sold hot dogs, chips, and candy, and who doesn’t love a Snow Cone! Even the Haunted Circus Walk (for children eight or older) created lots of fun Halloween screams.
