The Naples Players (TNP) is excited to welcome audiences for a warm and witty start to the new year with Beau Jest, running January 14 to February 15, 2026, in the Kizzie Theater. Written by James Sherman and directed by Kate Bowman, a visiting director and actor based in Los Angeles, this uplifting comedy brings family, laughter, and unexpected tenderness to the stage.
Beau Jest follows Sarah, a young woman trying to keep her traditional parents happy. She hires an actor to portray the perfect boyfriend during a family dinner. What begins as a simple plan quickly unravels into a charming mix of misunderstandings and heartfelt moments. The comedy invites audiences to enjoy the humor in family expectations and the beauty of choosing honesty over perfection.
The production features a talented local cast that includes both long-time TNP veterans and performers making their TNP debut: Charlie Blum, Patti Caroli, Pamela Dollak, Jody Cameron, and Kit Fitzsimons.
“Beau Jest is a genuinely fun way to start the year,” said Executive Artistic Director Bryce Alexander. “It is lighthearted, full of clever surprises, and a wonderful chance for audiences to relax and laugh together.”
