The 2025 winning business is The 844 Gulf and Prime Restaurant at 844 Bald Eagle Dr.
On December 20, Marco Island Christmas House and Business Decorating Committee Chairman Dave Rice presented the 2025 Winner yard sign and plaque to Corporate General Manager Tony Newton, Corporate Operations Manager Matt Pohutsky, Executive Chef Henry Romanowski, and Sous Chef Steve Malone. In addition to The 844, the restaurant group also plans to open Captain Tony’s Seafood Market and Butcher Shop in January, located next to their Sand Bar Restaurant on Elkcam Circle.
Committee Coordinators for the Business/Condo contest are Kristina Lambros and Marc Creach. Mindy Star and Roger Star, Rahel Schenk, and Lilibeth Nordell were also Business Contest judges.
The Decorating Committee sends a special thanks to the Marco Area Chamber of Commerce and Director Dianna Dohm, who notified the Chamber members of the contest via email blasts.
The Marco Island Christmas House and Business Decorating Contest is sponsored by Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC). They have been the overall sponsor of this event for 32 years continuously since its beginning in 1994.
