The Marco Sportfishing Club held their annual Spring Slam fishing tournament from Tuesday, May 13, through Sunday, May 18, 2025. A total of 25 anglers in 11 teams competed with the ultimate goal of catching the largest “Slam” (a Snook, Redfish, and Seatrout). Weather conditions were good, but fishing was difficult. Unfortunately, no team completed a slam this year. Most teams tallied fish but were not able to catch all three species. A total of 16 fish were entered – one redfish, four snook, and eight trout. The first-place team of Jack Facciolo and Tom Obermeier had a Snook/Seatrout combo measuring a total of 44.25.” Mike Lopez had the longest Snook at 26”, Tom Obermeier had the longest Seatrout at 21”, and Keith Wohltman had the longest Redfish at 25.75”. We would like to thank all of our participants and congratulate our winners.
