The Marco Sportfishing Club had a truly wonderful year draw to a close and commenced the holiday season in style with their annual Holiday Party, Monday, December 8, at the Naples Lakes Country Club.
The 96 members present made this sold-out gala one of the best-attended social events in the club's calendar. Members enjoyed a dinner with fine food and excellent company, as the after-dinner stories and camaraderie just flowed after a year of successful fishing tournaments and club activities. The evening’s entertainment really hit its peak with the performance of the popular local musician, Rosetta Stone.
The success of the evening was made possible by the dedication of the Holiday Party Committee: Anne Marchetti, Camille Madonia, and Sharyn Kampmeyer, alongside their enthusiastic "negotiator," Jersey. The club extends its deepest gratitude to the committee for their hard work in planning and executing the wonderful event.
“This party is a great tradition that brings our fishing family together off the water,” said George Wittmann, Club President. “It’s a great way to thank our members for their participation and celebrate the holidays before the new year’s calendar officially kicks off. We already look forward to our next season of tournaments and events.”
The Marco Sportfishing Club strives for conservation and sportsmanship in both offshore and backwater fishing. Its annual holiday party is one of the major social events that gives cohesion to the strong sense of community among its membership.
The club would like to extend to all a safe and happy holiday period and a prosperous New Year in 2026, filled with fishing and community involvement.
