Santa Claus Comes to Town

Santa and Mrs. Claus gave the reindeer a day off, arriving in a more modern form of transportation to enjoy milk and cookies with area kids.

Christmas Island Style sent a helicopter to the North Pole to pick up the Clauses, who were happy to enjoy a little warmth and sunshine before Christmas. Hundreds of kids and their families came to Mackle Park to greet them, get their pictures taken, do some dancing, and of course, enjoy milk and cookies.

Santa and Mrs. Claus got an assist from Marco’s favorite elves, Arne and Jill Sandberg, members of the MIA Key Club, and the Marco Island Parks and Recreation Department, the event co-sponsor with Christmas Island Style. Even the Grinch made an appearance!

After a morning spreading joy, duty called, and Santa and Mrs. Claus left the festivities to prepare for Christmas Eve and the long journey around the world. Merry Christmas, Marco!
