The Marco Island Center for the Arts invites the community to a compelling Art Talk in the Gallery on Wednesday, March 18 at 11:00 AM when artist and educator Rob Eder presents “From Soho to the Streets: Art, Identity and Rebellion in 1980’s New York City.”
Eder will share his unique insights into the lives and works of four groundbreaking artists: Julian Schnabel, Francesco Clemente, David Salle, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Through the lens of a practicing artist and teacher, Eder will explore how these iconic figures challenged artistic conventions, redefined visual language, and helped shape the trajectory of contemporary art. Insightful and thought-provoking, the presentation promises a rich journey through art history, innovation, and rebellion.
