Register for the Chokoloskee Fishing Tournament

Posted

The Chokoloskee Fishing Tournament at Chokoloskee RV Park is set for June 1 - August 30, 2025, promising an entire summer of competitive fishing in the picturesque surroundings of Chokoloskee, Florida. Since the tournament goes all summer, you can up your odds the more you fish, as most prizes are based on fishing totals and not just a single fish; winners are determined based on the total length of catches, with the exception of Tarpon, where awards go to the biggest single fish. You can enter anytime during the competition dates. This annual event draws enthusiasts to compete in five distinct divisions: Inshore, Women, Kids, Kayak, and Trash, with the unique twist that 100% of the $50 entry fees fuel the prize pot. You’ll be fishing for seatrout, redfish, and the snook or tarpon competition. The person who collects the most trash during the tournament gets an award.

Winners will be announced on August 31 at the annual end-of-summer barbecue at Chokoloskee RV Park. The cash prizes increase with each entry, so call the Chokoloskee main office at 239-695-2414 and register! You don’t need to be a Chokoloskee RV guest or own a vacation cottage within the community to register, however you do need to launch from the renovated Chokoloskee docks and fish the Ten Thousand Islands. You can fish for the day or rent a slip if you want to stay and fish longer, but remember – you can’t enter the tournament with fish caught from docks, piers, or any other fixed structures.

To enter, call the Chokoloskee main office at 239-695-2414.
