Naples Philharmonic Coming to United Church

Posted

The Naples Philharmonic brings its celebrated “Around Town” series to United Church of Marco Island on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM, under the baton of acclaimed Venezuelan conductor Manuel López-Gómez. The concert will also feature Egor Antonenko, Principal Cello of the Naples Philharmonic, as soloist.

The program opens with Felix Mendelssohn’s shimmering The Fair Melusine Overture, followed by the passionate and virtuosic Cello Concerto No. 1 by Camille Saint-Saëns, showcasing Antonenko’s lyrical mastery. The concert concludes with Mendelssohn’s majestic Symphony No. 3, Scottish, a work of sweeping beauty inspired by the composer’s travels through the rugged landscapes of Scotland.

Part of the Philharmonic’s mission to make symphonic music accessible throughout Southwest Florida, the “Around Town” concerts bring world-class performances to local venues in an intimate and welcoming setting. This special event promises an afternoon of classical favorites that will captivate both longtime concertgoers and those experiencing the orchestra for the first time.

“We are thrilled to host the Naples Symphony again this season,” commented Chris Moore, Associate Director of Music. “They make their fabulous music easily available to residents and visitors on Marco Island,” he added.

Tickets range from $15-$35 and are available online at tickets.artisnaples.org or at the door.

United Church of Marco Island is located at 320 North Barfield Dr., Marco Island, with doors opening at 3:30 PM. United Church worships every weekend with a Sunday 8:30 AM Contemporary Service and a 10:00 AM Classic/Traditional Service. More information is available at www.ucmarco.org.
