MDR Aging Matters Series to Explore the Importance of Social Connection

Posted

Christy Christine, Director of Sales and Marketing Assisted Living and Memory Care, The Arlington of Naples, will be the featured speaker for the next MDR-Your Brain Health Matters Aging Matters series presentation on Tuesday, November 10, 2026. She will explore the importance of social engagement and offering practical ways families, neighbors, and care partners can help older adults remain connected. Christine’s presentation will address adapting activities for people living with dementia, creating comfortable opportunities for interaction and recognizing that meaningful connection can take many forms.

“Staying connected is an important part of healthy aging, and it doesn’t have to involve grand gestures,” said Stephanie Bean, Operations Director of MDR-Your Brain Health Matters. “Sometimes, a simple conversation or a shared activity can make a meaningful difference. We want people to leave this presentation with practical ideas they can use to help older adults feel included, valued, and connected to their community.”

The program will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the MDR Champagne Center for Brain Health, 40 S. Heathwood Drive, Building B, Second Floor, Suite F. The presentation will offer practical ideas for fostering connection and helping older adults remain engaged in their communities. As with all other MDR Your Brain Health Matters activities and events, there is no cost to attend the Aging Matters educational series. To register, send an email to admin@mdryourbrainhealthmatters.org or call (239) 388-4134. Space is limited and the deadline to register is November 9, 2026.
