Marco Island Community Chorus and Orchestra Advent Concert

On Sunday, December 7, the Marco Island Community Chorus presented an Advent cantata entitled And Glory Shone Around for an audience of over 700 people at San Marco Catholic Church. The Cantata consisted of Advent scripture readings, choral and orchestral music, and traditional Christmas carols sung by the audience with the Chorus and orchestra.

Under the direction of Kathleen Osborn Gerdes, the Marco Island Community Chorus is an ecumenical group consisting of members from several faiths and congregations in the Marco Island and Naples area. The Chorus was accompanied by an orchestra of talented local musicians from the Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, high school, and college elite ensembles.

The Chorus and orchestra will perform a Lenten cantata on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00 PM at San Marco Catholic Church.
