Marco Cruise Club Christmas Celebration

Posted

The very first Marco Cruise Club Christmas party was held on December 18th, 1975, at the Marco Island Inn, which was located at the Northern tip in the heart of the historic district of Marco Island. Following the same tradition started by the founders of the Club, this year's members gathered for their annual Christmas party at DaVinci's Ristorante, one of Marco Island's favorite Italian restaurants.

Members arrived dressed in traditional festive holiday attire of reds, greens, and golds, and lots of holiday cheer. There was time for greetings and salutations before being ushered into a festive banquet room. Tables were decorated with red poinsettia centerpieces purchased from the local Farmers’ Market provided by Commodore Cindy McKeown, which added to the festive flair.

A camaraderie amongst members then and now is forged by cruising together. That type of experience develops mutual trust and friendships among people who spend a lot of time together. And at this time of year, it is one of the best gifts of all to celebrate Christmas with friends made in the Marco Cruise Club.

Happy holidays to all @marcocruiseclub.com.
