Long-time Marco Island resident and Grammy nominated recording artist Lee Brovitz has been selected as musical director and bassist on Bobby Wilson’s “The Last Teardrop … the Legend Continues” tour. Also filling the drum slot in the ten-piece band is Marco Islander Chris Mattioli. In Lee’s three decades as a Marco Island denizen, he has become known for recording and touring with a bevy of musical celebrities: Cyndi Lauper, Tommy Roe, John Cafferty, Rick Derringer, and the Byrds, to name a few. Recently, he has brought Chris Mattioli into the fold. Chris also tours with the tribute, “Beatle Magic.”

In coordination with the television movie “The Last Teardrop,” the legendary Jackie Wilson’s son, Bobby Wilson, has crafted a live show that includes songs, stories, and video documenting Bobby’s musical roots to the discovery of his famous father. The show weaves a musical journey that is both heartwarming and exciting. His dynamic performance incorporates favorites of pop, rhythm and blues, and soul classics, including the Jackie Wilson hits, “Lonely Teardrops,” “That’s Why,” “I’ll Be Satisfied,” and the unforgettable “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher.”

Bobby Wilson is renowned in his own right, scoring four Top 10 hits on the Adult Contemporary charts and a three-time Grammy balloted artist. Legions of fans have dubbed Bobby with the title of “Mr. Entertainment.” “The Last Teardrop … the Legend Continues” show is a must-see concert event. The Florida leg of the tour, which kicked off in Palm Beach in December, will continue throughout 2026. The legend continues!
