United Church of Marco Island is pleased to welcome the legendary Kingsmen Quartet for a powerful afternoon of music and ministry on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM. This special concert is open to the community, and a freewill offering will be received.
For more than seven decades, the Kingsmen Quartet has stood as one of the most respected and influential groups in Southern Gospel music. Their enduring legacy—marked by excellence, ministry, and musical innovation—continues to inspire audiences across the nation. With a mission as vibrant today as when they began, the Kingsmen remain committed to presenting gospel music with lyrics that speak directly to the hearts of listeners.
Over the years, the Kingsmen have received some of Christian music’s most prestigious honors. They were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Christian Music Hall of Fame in 2008, and nine of their distinguished alumni are enshrined in the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Their historic appearances include performing on the South Lawn of the White House for President Jimmy Carter in 1977 and participating in the opening ceremony of the 1982 World’s Fair in Knoxville, attended by President Ronald Reagan. In 1986, they became the first group to record a live performance at the Grand Ole Opry, further solidifying their place in music history.
With more than 50 Singing News Fan Awards, including Favorite Group, Favorite Male Quartet, and both Favorite Song and Favorite Album for their iconic hit “Wish You Were Here,” the Kingsmen continue to be celebrated as one of the premier male quartets in Christian music.
Audiences can expect an uplifting, soul-stirring concert filled with the excellence, passion, and heartfelt ministry that have defined the Kingsmen for generations.
