January Meeting Features Holy Moments Presentation

Posted

On Thursday, January 8, the San Marco Council of Catholic Women (CCW) held its monthly meeting, and the year-rounders were excited to see their snowbird friends. Father Chuck Ruoff gave the presentation on “Holy Moments: Small things we can do within our own lives to live a much holier life.” This means actively seeking small things with God to improve the lives of neighbors and community. As Christians, we are called to love our neighbor. This doesn’t mean we are perfect, but that we take a moment out of our day to recognize and be grateful for what we do have and to spread those talents, gifts, and time to others. It may be in the very smallest things we do, like not interrupting someone when we really want to hurry the conversation, or hearing about an ill person and dropping by with soup. Each time we have a holy moment throughout our day, it builds and magnifies to even more people around us. Many of our CCW members wore blue to this meeting in solidarity for the fight against human trafficking. Maybe this was our Holy Moment, to shine the light on this plight by causing more public awareness through our wearing blue.
