Sunday night, Kretch's on the Island opened for a special night for the Italian American Society (IAS). The IAS wanted to have a dinner/dance for their members but wanted to stay on the island and Kretch's gave us that night. Fifty-nine members had a three-course meal, with wine included, along with a wonderful Italian American singer, Jim Cerminaro, of Sweet Sounds, who sounded a lot like Andrea Bocelli. The restaurant was transformed into a dressed-up version with white tablecloths and winter green napkins with sprinkles of glittery snow strings. The dance floor was embraced with low lighting, making it wonderful to dance to the Italian and American songs.
