United Church of Marco November Sermon Series on Family

Posted

Family life brings joy, challenges, and opportunities to grow at every age. Beginning Sunday, November 1, 2026, United Church of Marco Island invites the community to a four-week sermon series exploring how faith can strengthen family relationships through changing seasons of life.

Led by Pastor Ed Brandt, the series will offer biblical insight and practical encouragement for parents of adult children, grandparents, blended families, and those considering the legacy they leave for future generations.

“Families don’t come with instruction manuals, and the challenges don’t end when the children leave home,” said Brandt. “This series will explore how grace, forgiveness, and faith can help us nurture the relationships that matter most. Whatever your family looks like, there is a place for you in this conversation.”

The Sunday messages and Scripture readings are:

November 1 — “Parenting Grown Children Without Losing Your Mind” Luke 15:22–32

November 8 — “Grandparenting in a Changing World” Psalm 78:1–8

November 15 — “Grace for the Blended Family” Genesis 50:15–21

November 22 — “Finishing Well in the Family” Psalm 92

Sunday worship is held at 8:30 AM in Riedel Chapel, with Holy Communion served weekly, and at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary.

Before the Advent season begins, the church will also hold a Service of Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, at 10:00 AM. The community is invited to pause amid holiday preparations to give thanks for God’s blessings.

Residents, seasonal visitors, and guests are welcome at all services.
