Robert Mario DiBlasi, of Marco Island, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in Naples, Florida with his loving wife by his side.

Robert was the beloved husband of Genevieve “Genny” DiBlasi who shared 26 years of married life.

Robert was born in South Philadelphia where he lived most of his life. He was the son of the late Oscar and Albina DiBlasi. Robert loved growing up in his South Philadelphia neighborhood where he lived across the street from his parish St. Thomas Aquinas. He served as the youngest altar boy and learned to speak Latin.

Robert graduated from LaSalle University where he earned his master’s degree in education. His career involved teaching emotional and physically challenged children, he then moved on to sales. While living in Florida he worked at the guardhouse at both Residence and South Beaches. Robert enjoyed this immensely and met many wonderful people.

Robert loved dancing and a good party. He was an enthusiastic Phillies fan and watched all the games.

Robert is also survived by his children Mario DiBlasi (Christina), Antoinette Silvers, Steven Pirri (Lindsay) and Elizabeth Perkins (Alan), his grandchildren Jack, Charlie, Anita, Jessica, Jason, Lillianna, Everet and Weston and his great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters Mary Anne Sawaski and Anita Novino (Bert).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marco Dementia Respite (MDR), PO Box 813, Marco Island, Florida, 34145.

The MDR program provided Robert with years of enjoyment. The caretakers group is very important to Genny, giving her much-needed weekly support.
