Michelle Mary “Mickey” Flynn (nee Cuff), age 77, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Naples, Florida. Born February 1948 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Mickey lived a life defined by compassion, service, and unwavering faith.

Mickey graduated from Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary High School and went on to pursue her calling in nursing at the Pottsville School of Nursing. Her dedication to healing was evident throughout her distinguished career. She served as the head of the Operating Room and later worked alongside Dr. Harold Friedman, a premier Orthopedic Surgeon, as his trusted assistant. In the final chapter of her professional life, Mickey devoted twelve years as a volunteer for Hospice of Atlantic County in New Jersey – an extension of her lifelong commitment of caring for others.

A devoted Catholic, Mickey’s faith was central to her life. She regularly attended Mass and gave generously of her time and talent through numerous church organizations. She was an active member of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW), St. Vincent de Paul Society, of which she became president, and the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes. Her work with these groups reflected her deep belief in serving those in need. She also played a vital role in supporting the local food pantry, Our Daily Bread.

Mickey’s heart for service extended beyond her professional and religious commitments. She found joy in cooking delicious meals for her family and friends, immersing herself in music and literature, and volunteering for nonprofit organizations that supported the poor, the elderly, and the homebound. Her bubbly personality lit up every room she entered, and she consistently put others before herself – a true disciple of Jesus Christ who lived out his teachings through daily acts of kindness.

She is survived by her beloved husband Dan, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage filled with love and partnership; their son Patrick; niece Ashley; nephews Kevin, Christoper, and Robert III; and sisters-in-law Catherine and Eileen.

Mickey was preceded in death by her father Joseph Cuff, mother Helen Cuff, and brother Anthony Cuff.

Mickey passed away peacefully at home in the company of her beloved husband Dan.

Michelle “Mickey” Flynn leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faithfulness, and selfless service. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

A funeral mass will be held on January 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at San Marco Catholic Church, 851 San Marco Road, Marco Island, Florida. A reception lunch will be held at the Parish Hall following the Mass.
