Joyce Ann Martindell, 71, of Marco Island and Orlando, Florida, died early on April 22, 2026, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and other conditions. She is finally without pain again.
Joyce was born in 1954 in Central Florida and raised in South Florida by her parents, Carol and Thomas Campbell, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother Scott Campbell and was preceded in death by her brother Craig Campbell.
She was married to David J. Martindell, who preceded her in death. Along with her mother, Joyce was one of the founding members of the Marco Island Historical Society and a successful small business owner.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Matt Roseboom, and her grandson, Quinn Roseboom, plus many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was known for her kind, upbeat spirit. Everyone who knew her liked her. No matter the circumstances, she remained in good spirits, always putting others first. There was never a time when she wasn’t the kindest person in the room. She will be deeply missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation of Parkinson’s Research, Give Kids the World Village, or the Marco Island Historical Society.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
