Edward A. “Ed” Hilem, of Marco Island, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 83 in Naples, Florida.
Ed was the loving husband of Nancy A. (nee Hayes), who shared many loving years together.
Ed was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to the late Harold and Dorothy Parsons Hilem. He was the youngest of his eight siblings. In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his daughter Mandy and his sons Doug and Nick (Angie), along with his grandchildren Jessica, Connor, Anna Grace, and Casey. He is also survived by his stepchildren,Jacob Bryant (Anna) and Amanda Clark (Ralph), and his grandchildren Haley, Logan, Jaden, and Avery. He is survived by his sister Helen Alsmeyer and many other loving family members.
Ed spent his career in medical sales before retiring to Marco Island with his wife. He enjoyed leisurely days reading, swimming, fishing, and playing withhis dogs Charley and Harry.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service on Saturday, December 13 at 11:00 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 350 S Barfield Dr., Marco Island, FL 34145.
Ed will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who enjoyed his life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed.
