Festival of Trees More Popular Than Ever

Posted

This year marks the 12th year of the Festival of Trees at the Marco Island Center for the Arts. This year, the Art Center received over 60 especially creative Christmas trees as a special fundraiser to support the Center’s educational programs and initiatives. The Annual Festival of Trees has become a very popular holiday tradition, and many of the sponsors with their themed decorations have been part of that 12-year celebration.

This is the 11th year for the Lambros Group with Keller Williams Realty. Lambros shared that Frosty has always been their traditional entry and each year, Mr. Frosty’s presence starts the magical countdown to the holiday season.

The Marco Island Shell Club’s participation runs deep, and for this year, they created a tree as a salute to the Gold Star Families. A Gold Star Family is the immediate family of a service member who has died while serving in the military, and the small tree is all aglow in red, white, and blue, representing all the branches of the U.S. Military.

New this year is a Mr. Grinch display from the Moms on Purpose group. Kristina Lambros is founder and also a toddler mom. She was joined at the Center by moms Nicole Hackett, Lynn Jones, and Maris Eve with their young toddlers – all adding the finishing touches to Mr. Grinch!

The silent auction will start on Tuesday, December 2nd, running through December 4th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Trees must be picked up on December 5th. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree, and the People’s Choice Award will be announced on December 4, 2025.
