Fall Worship Services at United Church of Marco

United Church of Marco Island announced worship service times for the fall! Beginning Saturday, October 25, at 5:00 PM, UCMI will resume the Saturday night worship service in Disseler Hall. “This is a bit more edgy than Sunday morning worship,” commented Ed Brandt, Pastor. “The Saturday night service will use the Audio Visual capacity in Disseler Hall for music, video clips, and images for the sermon,” he added. The Saturday night service is a come-as-you-are atmosphere where children can be themselves.

Sunday, November 2, United resumes the 8:30 AM Contemplative Service. This 30 to 40 minute service will have less liturgy than the later Sunday morning service and more focus on prayers, scripture, and sermon. “There are folks in the Marco Island Community who are looking for a time of prayer, scripture reading, and a sermon before beginning their Sunday morning!” added Brandt. “My hope is to continue this Contemplative service post-season in the Chapel.”

And on Sunday, November 2, United Church of Marco Island continues the 10:00 AM Classic/Traditional Service in the Sanctuary. “With the refurbishment of the sanctuary, the Welcome Center, and recovered soffits, worship in this traditional space with a set liturgy captures the classic sense of singing, praying, and preaching,” commented Brandt.

The hope is to offer a variety of options for people on the Island who might be looking for a Contemporary experience, or a Contemplative time, or Classic Worship.
