Marco Island Center for the Arts’ Arts Center Theatre is delighted to present You’ve Got Hate Mail, a laugh-out-loud comedy running April 9–26, 2026. Written by acclaimed playwrights Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore and directed by Joan Gerberding, this witty production delivers a modern twist on romance in the digital age.
You’ve Got Hate Mail is a hilarious broadband comedy of errors that dives into the chaos of online relationships, where love and deception collide with just one click. The story unfolds entirely through emails exchanged on laptop computers, creating a clever and fast-paced narrative that captures the humor and pitfalls of online hook-ups and break-ups.
The plot centers on an office affair that spirals wildly out of control after a scandalous email lands in the wrong inbox. What follows is a cascade of misunderstandings, revelations, and uproarious consequences—complete with an unforgettable “chase” scene powered by cell phones and PDAs.
