An Entertaining Tribute to Veterans

Posted

Attendees enjoyed performances by the Girls of Motown and the Mike Marciano Band, who brought back music of past eras. The wonderful by Bill Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada, was another highlight of the two-hour show, bringingto life one of the most iconic entertainers of our generation – Bob Hope. His performance thrilled the crowd.

Johnson’s poignant representation of the times Hope brought smiles to the men and women of our military was very moving, to say the least, and the event was perfectly timed to happen just before Veterans Day.

Bob Hope spent the greater part of 50 years helping so many of our troops to forget the savagery of war and enjoy some precious hours of entertainment, whether it was during the dark days of World War II to the battlefields in Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. He performed his last USO show in 1990.
