Turkey Day Buffet Inshore Tournament

Posted

The Marco Sportfishing Club held our annual Thanksgiving inshore fishing tournament, the Turkey Day Buffet, November 12th through 17th. 34 anglers representing 14 teams targeted three species: Snook, Redfish, and Seatrout. Dirty water hindered fishing, but some good catches were reported. A nice mixture of all three target species were caught. A total of 36 fish were tallied – nine snook, nine redfish and 18 trout.

Congratulations to our winners:

Team Awards – First Place Jeff and Cathy Erickson, Steve Jacobs and Johnny Rafes; Second Place Kevin Krygier and Chris Vines; Third Place Jack Facciolo, Tom Obermeyer and Ed Boyle; Longest Fish - Seatrout Ken Robertson, Snook Johnny Fridono, Redfish Jeff Erickson.

Special thanks to our event leader Charlie Schwalje and all of our participants.
