The Marco Island Community Chorus was founded in 2018 under the direction of Kathleen Osborn-Gerdes. The ecumenical group is comprised of men and women representing nine Christian Communities on Marco Island and Naples. Volunteer singers from Marco Island and Naples. They are members of Emmanual Lutheran Church, Lely Presbyterian, Marco Lutheran Church, St. Mark’s Episcopal, St. Peter the Apostle, San Marco Catholic Church, United Church of Marco, and Wesley United Methodist Church. Membership in the group is by audition and grows from approximately 35 people inthe fall to about 70 members at Easter. Performances are held twice a year, at Advent and Lent. ChoralCantatas that reflect the season are accompanied by an orchestra, predominately members of the Naples Youth Orchestra, directed by pianist Kelly Utterback. Rehearsals and performances take place at San Marco Catholic Church & Emmanual Lutheran Church.
