Reflections on Windsor Castle Visit

The congregation and community are invited to a special presentation by Pastor Ed Brandt of United Church of Marco Island as he shares reflections from his recent continuing education experience in England, including a memorable visit to Windsor Castle.

Pastor Ed traveled to England in June/July 2025 to participate in a seminar entitled “Clergy Conversations.” The opportunity emerged in an unexpected way—after watching the Netflix series The Crown, Pastor Ed followed up with an email inquiry that ultimately led to his participation in the program.

The seminar brought together clergy for thoughtful dialogue, theological reflection, and collegial exchange. During his time abroad, Pastor Ed also visited Windsor Castle, gaining historical insights and experiencing the rich ecclesiastical and cultural heritage of England.

“It was an experience that will be treasured for a long time, and I am grateful to the congregation of United Church of Marco Island for providing this opportunity!” said Pastor Ed.

Pastor Ed expressed deep appreciation to the leadership and congregation of United Church of Marco Island for supporting his continuing education and professional growth, noting that the experience allowed him to expand his learning while building meaningful relationships with colleagues from around the world.

The presentation will take place on Thursday, April 9, at 10:00 AM in Disseler Hall at United Church of Marco Island. The event is open to the congregation and the broader community.

United Church of Marco Island is located at 320 North Barfield Drive, Marco Island, Florida, and worships every Sunday at 8:30 and 10:00 AM.
