United Church of Marco Island has awarded $50,000 to help Our Daily Bread Food Pantry (ODBFP) distribute a projected 2.1 Million pounds of nourishing food (estimated 1,750,000 meals) annually in 2025 through its Fixed-Site Saturday Pantry in Marco Island and Mobile distributions throughout Southeast Collier County providing food assistance access six days a week averaging 10 monthly opportunities for families overall.
“We are deeply grateful to the United Church of Marco Island for their long-standing generosity in support of our mission and their deep commitment to our community,” states Executive Director, Evelyn Rossetti-Ryan, EdD. “As economic uncertainty and escalating food prices continue to disproportionately affect the workforce families we serve, this contribution helps ensure our guests can stay healthy and hopeful in the face of food insecurity. From their generous grant to their summer food drive, the United Church of Marco Island is a valued partner in helping us feed our neighbors in need.”
“It is both a joy and honor for the United Church of Marco Island to partner in your work both through financial support and the many members of our congregation that volunteer their time,” adds UCMI Sr. Pastor Ed Brandt.
