Performing in front of an adoring audience of friends and family members, the cast of Monster Takeover was a huge hit on Saturday, August 1, at Wesley United Methodist Church.
“These monsters are finding out that they are no longer scary to the general public,” said Gina Sisbarro, who wrote and directed the play. “We’ve got demons and conjuring and all this other stuff. So what they do is they have a union, and they get together and they try to resolve this problem to give the monsters the respect that they deserve.”
The play was an hour long, with a short intermission, with over 20 in the cast, including five-year-old Everly Love, who was presented with a chocolate treat to mark her sixth birthday the next day.
It was the third straight year for Wesley to host the Marco Y’s theatre group in their sanctuary.
