Sitting down with Jeff Cramer, partner of Alair Homes North Naples and Marco Island, we discussed his history with the industry and what sets his company apart from the rest. Here’s what we learned:

Who is Jeff Cramer?

The industry is practically built into his DNA with his father and grandfather having both owned businesses in the construction industry. He grew up in Illinois surrounded by hard work, strong ethics, and perseverance. Jeff has 22 years of experience, himself, as a home builder.

An entrepreneur from the start, he began his own business, Cramer Homes, and successfully ran it for 16 years before he and his wife began discussing a move to South Florida (a personal favorite vacation spot for their family over the years). He secured his FL Licensing in preparation.

Having owned and operated his own business, he was familiar with the time and effort it takes to get up and running and knew he had to find a position, even if temporary, to help transition his family during their move down.

During this transition, he met the owner of the Alair Homes Bonita Springs location.

Hitting it off professionally and igniting intrigue into Alair Homes, they parted ways with the agreement that when the opportunity comes, he would become involved.

What is Alair Homes?

With their own easy-to-navigate portal, each client can check in on their build whenever they like. They will have full access to see the schedule and can view regularly updated photos. They can look at each itemized selection, check the purchase status, view receipts, returns, and credits. The client is in control of everything. Nothing is done without their knowledge and approval. For many clients who are out of state, this portal provides both daily insight and peace of mind on their project progress.

What is the process if a client agrees to use Alair?

Their goal is not to rush but instead focus on procuring precise details about the job during a thorough planning process. This ensures confidence and accuracy in pricing, avoiding overbudget headaches down the road. This process is completed before the contract is signed. Once complete, and the client is ready to sign a contract, they know it is accurate.

All selections and materials are ordered far in advance and are ready when the time comes, avoiding delays in shipments.

A Project Manager is in charge of each job site, but Jeff Cramer stays in close contact with each client. Priding himself and Alair as a whole for taking a personal vested interest in every aspect of the building process, he will meet with every client regularly. If they are local, that can be on their job site or in the office. For those out of town, he will call, set up a Zoom meeting, and even do FaceTime tours through their site.
