Marco Historical Museum Pirate Day Coming June 19

Posted

Ahoy! It’s Pirate Day at the Marco Island Historical Museum (MIHM) on Friday, June 19, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Marco Island Historical Society (MIHS) and Collier County Museums invite the public to study up on their pirate speak, round up a matey or two, and sail into a day of high seas fun. Pirate garb is strongly encouraged, arrgh!

The event is free and will include seafaring-themed family games like Pirate Plinko and crafting a Pirate Boat. Collect coins and tickets to win pirate booty from the MIHM treasure chest. Swashbuckling entertainment will include a pirate-y face painter to perfect your look.

The Marco Island Library, Collier County Parks and Recreation, and Supervisor of Elections will also participate. Food for purchase will be provided by the Optimist Club of Marco Island. Pirate Day is generously supported by The Colonial Dames of America. Large groups are asked to call in advance, 239-252-1440.
