coton frais™ Celebrates Tenth Diamond Anniversary

For nearly a decade, Clarice Dowdle and her daughter, Christina Brandes, have been dressing the chicest of women from the palm beaches to Marco Island in their exclusive European resort wear. “We can’t believe it has been ten years since we started coton frais™,” commented Brandes. “It’s unbelievable we are celebrating our diamond anniversary!”

Their original store was, and still is, in Jupiter, with others previously in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, and even at the Palm Beach Outlets. Three years ago, they expanded to Marco Island on Florida’s west coast. “We are bi-coastal,” serving both sides of Florida, Dowdle outlined.

Started as a predominantly white apparel brand, over the years they have expanded to a light color scheme, although still producing their apparel in cotton, linen, and silk. Manufacturing mostly in Italy, France, and Greece, they have truly captured a specialized European market. About 70% of their designs are produced by Dowdle and Brandes and the balance secured through exclusive international relationships.

They also feature gifts, accessories, home, and baby, all with a unique European flair. There is always something special to find for yourself or as a special gift each time you visit.

“As you enter one of our stores… the scents, sounds, and decor transport you to an intimate family-owned shop in the heart of Europe,” explained Brandes. “Our customers are frequently singing along with Andrea Bocelli or commenting on the lavender scent or the beautiful store presentation, not to mention the amazing customer service,” she added.

“It has been an amazing ten years to work together with my daughter, and to have established such wonderful customers and staff members. We look forward to continuing and evolving the coton frais™ brand and traditions as we move into an exciting new decade!” said Dowdle.
