The Crossing Adventure Series is coming to Marco Island for the first annual Conquer the Rock on November 21, 2026! With the route mapped, merchandise ready to be scooped up at Jet Set, and just shy of six months to the date, this is your reminder to become involved in this world-class event!
Conquer the Rock raises funds and awareness for Piper’s Angels Foundation (Advocacy.Needs.Global.Empowerment.Lifelong.Service). Piper’s Angels supports those with Cystic Fibrosis and their family by raising awareness of the disease, bringing critical financial support to families, offering life-expanding activities, and much more.
Conquer the Rock, the first of the series on Marco Island, will involve a 22-mile paddle all the way around the island, around Goodland through Caxambas, and back to the same point on the beach.
There are two-person and four-person relay options for teams and seven competitive classes:
1. SUP Unlimited Men (Stand-up Paddleboard with a long paddle).
2. SUP Unlimited Women (Stand-up Paddleboard with a long paddle).
3. Open Prone (Paddleboarding where you lie flat or kneel and use your arms to paddle).
4. OC1 (One-Man Outrigger Canoe).
5. OC2 (Two-Man Outrigger Canoe).
6. OC6 (Six-Person Outrigger Canoe - Team Limit of nine Paddlers)
7. Surf Ski (Long, narrow high-performance watercraft in the kayak family).
There will be a five-mile sprint paddle race for those who may not want to paddle the longer route but still want to support.
A two-mile beach walk will take place for the supporting family members and for anyone who wants to take part in the cause. Long-time sponsor of The Crossing Adventure Series, 4Ocean, will be in attendance as both a participant and event sponsor, and will be having a beach cleanup during the walk.
Now it is time for you to choose your distance! There is a $100 sign-up fee and a $250 fundraising minimum.
After the race, there will be a transition from the beach to Veterans Community Park, where a vast after-party concert and awards ceremony will take place. Local favorite, Rock Republic, will not only be performing but have been an integral help in organizing this party and event alongside the Piper’s Angels team.
The after-party will be open for all participants and their supporting families, and the public is welcome to attend by purchasing tickets (more information to come soon!).
