It’s Colorful and Bold at Art @ City Hall Exhibit through January 2027. On display are 21 pieces of art from nine participating local artists, including three new exhibitors. An open house is planned for December, when more residents are back, according to City Manager Dr. Casey Lucius.
Art @ City Hall was launched by then Interim City Manager Dr. Casey Lucius in August 2020 and celebrated a milestone of five years in August 2025. The quarterly exhibit was meant to highlight Marco Island’s unique natural environment while celebrating local artists by displaying their works inside City Hall. Every three months, a new theme is planned and a call to artists is sent out soliciting artworks that align with the theme.
The very first theme was Roseate Spoonbills. Past themes included Storms and Sun, The Everglades, Wading Birds and Owls, Flora and Fauna of Marco – just to highlight a few. With Marco’s natural beauty, artists draw from nature’s endless tapestry. The last exhibit was Nature’s Way woven art by Lynn Roberts, which was on display at City Hall through the end of February 2026.
For the Colorful and Bold Art Exhibit, the following artists were welcomed: Lynn Nathanson, Hope Hanley, Jo-Ann Sanborn, Carol Burton, Judith Chinski, and Adorable Monique. New artists with artwork displayed are Jack Walsh, Jillian Hite, and Morgan Addison Shelton. All the art displayed is for sale.
