Although temperatures reached 85 degrees on Marco Island on Saturday, October 10, 2026, the Christmas spirit was already in the air as Christmas Island Style kicked off the holiday season with its largest fundraiser of the year. The annual Christmas Island Style Golf Tournament was held at the Island Country Club to raise funds for the many events and activities the organization presents throughout the holiday season.
Following a buffet luncheon and a brief rain delay, 70 golfers—many dressed in festive Christmas golf attire—were ready to hit the course. Before play began, the winning ticket for the 50/50 raffle was drawn, and winner Suzanne Wade generously donated her prize back to Christmas Island Style.
After the round, golfers returned to the Double Eagle Bistro, where winners were announced, and door prizes donated by local businesses were awarded.
