Yacht Club Hosts Commodore’s Ball and 2026 Change of Watch

The Marco Island Yacht Club (MIYC) celebrated an evening of tradition, elegance, and community at its annual Commodore’s Ball, held at the club’s recently renovated clubhouse. The distinguished event marked the official Change of Watch ceremony and the swearing-in of Cindy Kroeger as Commodore for the 2026 term.

The evening commenced with a lively cocktail reception at the Burgee Bar, where members and guests gathered to toast the occasion. The formal Change of Watch ceremony followed, highlighting the club’s enduring traditions and welcoming Commodore Kroeger as she assumes leadership for the coming year.

Following the ceremony, attendees enjoyed a gourmet dining experience in the upstairs dining room. The evening continued with dancing and live entertainment by Naples-based musical duo Kelly & Shelly, whose high-energy performance provided a festive close to the celebration.

The Commodore’s Ball remains one of MIYC’s premier annual events, honoring the Bridge while fostering camaraderie and celebrating the vibrant spirit of the local boating community.
