The Arlington of Naples Welcomes New Director of Business Development

The Arlington of Naples is proud to announce the appointment of Barbara Ann Heegan as its new Director of Business Development. With more than 20 years of leadership in business and community development, Heegan brings a wealth of experience in building partnerships, driving innovation, and fostering community engagement. 

Heegan’s impressive career includes serving as President & CEO of three Chambers of Commerce across New York, South Carolina, and Florida. Her work has centered on economic development, workforce solutions, and small business advocacy. Under her leadership, chamber membership and engagement significantly increased, and she spearheaded award-winning initiatives, including job fairs, affordable housing summits, and higher education partnerships.

Heegan’s dedication to service began with the American Red Cross in New York City following the 9/11 attacks as a Family Support Specialist. Today, she continues her commitment as a Disaster Action Team volunteer with the American Red Cross. She holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Oneonta. 

Now a proud Naples resident, Barbara Ann enjoys golf, pickleball, the arts, and spending time with her three children and their family dog, Lucy. She remains active in Alzheimer’s  Research advocacy and is a proud Rotarian.
